“During the conversation I asked him that if he could bottle all the good things about the CWA, what would it smell like?”He started laughing, but then he said jams, marmalades and then wondered what would women have smelt like in 1922.”He said, ‘We have to add boronia because it smells like the scent of an angel’, which the CWA are.”Mr Midgely set about creating the perfume for the group but sadly won’t get to see its release. He died three weeks ago and 1922 was one of the last fragrances he created.”We were heartbroken at the CWA when he passed as he donated all his time to design and create the scent,” Ms Martell told ABC Radio Brisbane’s Craig Zonca. What does it smell like? This year marks the CWA’s 95th anniversary in Queensland, and to celebrate the group will this week launch its own perfume.Called 1922, it has notes of citrus, lavender, rose and boronia with a base of vanilla and spices. It will be released on Friday at The Ekka. The scent was created after Ally Martell, editor of the Queensland CWA’s magazine Ruth, interviewed a perfume maker in Brisbane.”I interviewed Jonathon Midgely at Damask Perfumery and their laboratory is like a wizard den,” she said. many have a heart in the country and love the tradition of the CWA.”All money raised from the sale of the perfume will go to the QCWA for future community projects. Photo:
Gabbi Ivers and Jonathon Midgely in their perfumery in Brisbane. “The perfume has three notes and the top note is citrus, mostly mandarin, and then the florals come through,” Ms Martell explained.”Members of the QCWA have been bottling and boxing 1922 by hand to have it ready for the launch.”The artwork and branding of the bottles was supplied by Michelle Grayson, a Brisbane watercolour artist who specialises in prints of flowers and perfume bottles.Ms Grayson’s art deco font links the perfume to the 1920s era.She also created an original painting for the QCWA to help launch the scent. How would you describe the essence of the County Women’s Association? Is it scones with jam and cream and a freshly baked fruit cake or does it have a more contemporary scent? (ABC Radio Brisbane: Jessica Hinchliffe )
Ms Martell said the perfume was a fitting, feminine way to help the QCWA celebrate all its achievements since it began on August 11, 1922.”The CWA supports women, families and communities and they stay together as friends forever,” she said.”The biggest branches are in Brisbane; it’s not just for country women either … How the QCWA created a perfume Hear Ruth editor Ally Martell tell ABC Radio Brisbane’s Craig Zonca about how the iconic group created a personal scent.

Admiral Twin – Aeroplane Lyrics

It might seem ludicrous
I know it sounds cliche´
But when she walks into the room
She brings a brighter day
Can’t help but watch her every move
While I pretend to look away
Smitten, bound and gagged
But if I got the chance I’d say
I’d say hey, I’ll treat you like an aeroplane
Ill catch you like a falling star
I’ll be your hero astronaut
And wel’l sleep underneath the waterfall of the milky way
But if I wait a little while
I might find the nerve to find the words to say to her
I find the timing’s right to wait a little while
A little while
Perfect is a number
That you’re not allowed to say
So when she put me on the spot
I quickly coined a phrase
I said hey, I’ll treat you like an aeroplane
I’ll feed you clouds and vapor trails
We’l go for walks on everest
And we’ll sleep underneath the waterfall
Yeah, we’ll sleep underneath the watchful eye of the crescent moon. ADMIRAL TWINAeroplane Lyrics
Once upon a time…
I was rattling around
Like a songbird that you prized
But it never made a sound
Someone told me not to come
They told me not to look
But you know I never take advice
And one time is all it took
I thought hey, I’d treat you like an aeroplane
I’d feed you clouds and vapor trails
We’d go for walks on everest
We would sleep underneath the watchful eye of the crescent moon.

Dvbbs – We Were Young Lyrics

DVBBSWe Were Young Lyrics
We were young
We were dumb
We would do it all again
We will never sleep
We will stay up with our friends
Where we go we don’t know
Where we go we don’t know
These memories will fade
But we’ll do it again
We will haunt our youth searching for a happy end
Where we go we don’t know
Where we go we don’t know
We were young; we were dumb; we would do it all again (4x)
We were young (9x)
We were young
We were dumb
We were young
We were dumb
We would do it all again
We will never sleep
We will stay up with our friends
Where we go we don’t know
Where we go we don’t know
These memories will fade
But we’ll do it again
We will haunt our youth searching for a happy end
Where we go we don’t know
Where we go we don’t know
We were young
We were dumb
We would do it all again
We will never sleep
We will stay up with our friends
Where we go we don’t know
Where we go we don’t know
We were young; we were dumb; we would do it all again (4x)
We were young (9x)
We were young
We were dumb

Helen Kane – I Wanna Be Loved By You Lyrics

I wanna be kissed by you, just you,
And nobody else but you,
I wanna be kissed by you, alone! I know what’s on my mind. Boop-boop-a-doop! I wanna be loved by you, just you,
And nobody else but you,
I wanna be loved by you, alone! HELEN KANEI Wanna Be Loved By You Lyrics
I’m not one of the pretty kind. Boop-boop-a-doop All of my thoughts are simple. Boop-boop, I couldn’t aspire,
To anything higher,
Than filled with desire,
To make you my own! Boop-boop-a-doop! Daddle-at-dat-dat-dum, I couldn’t aspire,
To anything higher,
Than filled with desire,
To make you my own,
Bup-bum, butle-doodle-dum-bum! Now, listen, Big Boy. I wanna be loved by you, just you,
Nobody else but you,
I wanna be loved by you, a-lup-a-dup-a-dup-a-dup! Aa-ah-um! I’m not resting until I find,
What would make your eyes glisten with joy. I wanna be loved by you, just you,
And nobody else but you,
I wanna be loved by you, alone! Boop-boop-a-doop, boop-boop-a-doop!

Garbage – The Chemicals Lyrics

GARBAGEThe Chemicals Lyrics
[Verse 1]:
Our Jesus wouldn’t save my soul
He checked out when he lost control
The end of the world we can never save
The complicated things that drive us both insane
The ghosts in the back of your eyes
The sparks in the dark when they come alive
I give myself to a higher power
Every time I crawl inside
[Pre-Chorus 1]:
I need your heaven
I need your heaven
I’ll do anything you ask me to
Heaven, I need your heaven
I can’t wait till the moment that I surrender to
[Chorus:] (2x):
The chemicals, the chemicals
The chemicals, the chemicals
The chemicals, the chemicals
The chemicals, the chemicals
[Verse 2]:
Aphrodite’s siren smiles
She steals anything she likes
Everything you never said
Everything you never did
Everything you fantasized
The ghosts at the back of your eyes
They don’t miss a beat when they come alive
Give yourself to a higher power
Every time you crawl inside
[Pre-Chorus 2]:
You’re seduced by
Surrendered to
Seduced by
Surrendered to
[Chorus 2x]

Amaran – Ode Lyrics

AMARANOde Lyrics
The morning come not a day too soon
Wishing all the best to all that’s gone
See these changes in my life
The torn away pain, is replaced by new meaning
An odd new feeling of changing it all
Only you who reach so deep down inside
Only you will know my name
It was you who said run to me
See this chaos in my life
Like washed away sand
Still they’re turning to face me and dogfaced they rate me
They’re charged with sin
Waiting, calling, riding, stalling
Rise to perfection, an ode to you
Watch me rise, right before your eyes
I am all, that you knew that I could be
The doubt it gone won’t leave you standing all alone

Yann Tiersen – Sound The Bells Lyrics

YANN TIERSENSound The Bells Lyrics
Sound the bells
We can break away
Sound the bells
Dizzy am I
It’s come to light
Most days
Put a smile
Upon your face
It’s come to light
Most days
Put a smile
Upon your face
