The Verve – Bitter Sweet Symphony

I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now. But the airwaves are clean and there’s nobody singing to me now. No change, I can’t change, I can’t change, I can’t change,
but I’m here in my mold, I am here in my mold. And I’m a million different people from one day to the next
I can’t change my mold, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
(Well have you ever been down?)
(I can’t change, I can’t change)
Cause it’s a bittersweet symphony this life. I’ll take you down the only road I’ve ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places where all the veins meet, yeah. No change, I can’t change, I can’t change, I can’t change,
But I’m here in my mold, I am here in my mold. I’ll take you down the only road I’ve ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places where all the veins meet, yeah. But I’m a million different people from one day to the next
I can’t change my mold, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
Well I never pray,
But tonight I’m on my knees, yeah. Cause it’s a bittersweet symphony this life
Trying to make ends meet, you’re a slave to the money then you die. I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah. But I’m a million different people from one day to the next
I can’t change my mold, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
I can’t change my mold, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
I can’t change my mold, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
It justs sex and violence melody and silence
It justs sex and violence melody and silence (I’ll take you down the only road I’ve ever been down)
It’s just sex and violence melody and silence
It’s just sex and violence melody and silence
It’s just sex and violence melody and silence (I’ll take you down the only road I’ve ever been down)
(It’s just sex and violence melody and silence)Been down
(Ever been down)
(Ever been down)
(Ever been down)
(Ever been down)
(Ever been down) Trying to make ends meet, trying to find some money then you die. No change, I can’t change, I can’t change, I can’t change,
but I’m here in my mold, I am here in my mold.

Reo Cragun – Say It Ain’t So (Growing Pains Album)

[Chorus]
Say it ain’t so
Say it ain’t so
Im trying to reach you but the signals cold
Tell me where have you gone
(Oou, Oouu, Oouu)
Say it ain’t so
Say it ain’t so
Im trying to reach you but the signals cold
Tell me where have you gone
(Oou, Oouu, Oouu)

Tell me why I feel like such a damn outcast
Even with my homies that I roll around with, yeah
Jaden comings hit my line, she tryin to patch it up
I tried to tell her that this distance really damaged us
She packed her things and head out six hours my way
Just to find that our connection is full of static like

[Chorus]
Say it ain’t so
Say it ain’t so
Im trying to reach you but the signals cold
Tell me where have you gone
(Oou, Oouu, Oouu)
Say it ain’t so
Say it ain’t so
Im trying to reach you but the signals cold
Tell me where have you gone
(Oou, Oouu, Oouu)
[Verse 2]

My pops is out of prison, had another kid
Plus one he can add to his list of six
We on top like we should, you now my pride thick
Plus im selective of who I share my time with
My grampa kicked the bucket and my grandma followed
That women loved me most, the pill was hard to swallow
Fuck school I ain’t never going back there
Where im suppose to be ain’t anywhere around here, yeah
Now my mamma hit my line and she panicking
She tried to tell me that this distance really damage us
She stress’n to me that our time here can’t be forever
We can’t afford to lose connection to the static lights

Chorus]
Say it ain’t so
Say it ain’t so
Im trying to reach you but the signals cold
Tell me where have you gone
(Oou, Oouu, Oouu)
Say it ain’t so

Im trying to reach you but the signals cold
Tell me where have you gone

Reo Cragun – Inconsiderate (Growing Pains Album)

Shifting out the weeds, found you in the trees, you left me out to hang
Left you in the summer, saw you in the winter, everything changed
Now the shipped sailed, life is moving fast
Man I’m in the right gear
I just hit the road, money for the shows that you don’t even care to hear

[Pre-Chorus]
How sincere
How sincere of you
How sincere
I didn’t know you cared
[Chorus]
You only think about you
You never talk about us
You never make about we
You abuse my love
You can ruin my day
You test more patience
You don’t wanna see me make it, let’s just face it
Ohhh
Inconsiderate
Only worried about you
Inconsiderate
Only worried about you
You can ruin my day
You test more patience
You don’t wanna see me make it, let’s just face it
Ohhh
[Verse 2]
You don’t wanna see the king win
Can’t you see the recognition, I got it from the penmanship
Bout to grab the game in a quick grip
Man I told you I would get it out the rap rap, you know
Turns out I was just right
You was wrong but it’s alright
I’mma pull up to the side like I don’t mind
Even know you had me chillin’ on the sideline, Lord knows
We up but I need higher
My team good, my team rider
I learned where you stay true
You can reach anything, you desire
Things change, feelings change, people change for a little change (damn)
Never die, you a fit in description
All I did I mention

[Pre-Chorus]
How sincere
How sincere of you
How sincere
I didn’t know you cared
[Chorus]
You only think about you
You never talk about us
You never make about we
You abuse my love
You can ruin my day
You test more patience
You don’t wanna see me make it, let’s just face it
Ohhh
Inconsiderate
Only worried about you
Inconsiderate
Only worried about you
You can ruin my day
You test more patience
You don’t wanna see me make it, let’s just face it
Ohhh [Chorus]
You only think about you
You never talk about us
You never make about we
You abuse my love
You can ruin my day
You test more patience
You don’t wanna see me make it, let’s just face it
Ohhh
Inconsiderate
Only worried about you
Inconsiderate
Only worried about you
You can ruin my day
You test more patience
You don’t wanna see me make it, let’s just face it
Ohhh
[Verse 1]
Right from the start I saw greed all in your eyes
Love don’t live here and I shouldn’t be surprised
My generations have flamed all of their ties
How could you erase me when I put in all this time?

Weki Meki – I Don’t Like Your Girlfriend

말도 안 돼
Cause baby I don’t like your girlfriend
Cause baby I don’t like your girlfriend
I don’t like your girlfriend
I don’t like your girl, what? 무슨
웃겨 내가 대체 그런 걸 왜 해

Oh oh oh ah ah ah ah
Oh oh oh 안 안녕
Oh oh oh 솔직히 난
I don’t like your girlfriend
I don’t like your girl, what? 헤퍼 보여 그 표정 좀 바보 같아

Oh oh oh 나빠 너

I don’t 비밀은 없어
(Baby I don’t like your girlfriend)
너도 내가 만약에 말야
너보다도 더 친한 아, 당연히 boy
그럼 아마 너도 같은 느낌일 걸
몇 마디에 들떠서 어쩔 줄 모르지
어서 down to earth 지금 넌
현실감각이 필요해
빈말일 수도 있어, 쟨
질투? Let’s get crazy
대체 언제 봤다고 너네

I don’t wanna be difficult
At all
But let’s just try it my way
I mean c’mon

I’ve showed you countless numbers of times
That I can do it (I can do it)
So for one time in your whole life
Just let me try it (let me try it)

Of what I should know
I just wanna let go
I wanna run away just to live my life my way
Hey, woah

What’s the harm
To have a little fun? Been so uptight
I don’t mean to fight

That I can do it (I can do it)
So for just once in your whole life
Just let me try it (let me try it)

Tori Amos – Up The Creek

Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise
Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise
We may just survive
If the Militia of the Mind
Arm against those climate blind
Desert Sisters
I’ll be breaking in
Desert Sisters
To break you out
Desert Sisters
I’ll be breaking in
Desert Sisters
To break you out
Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise
Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise
Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise
Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise
Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise
We may just survive
If the Militia of the Mind
Arm against those climate blind
Desert Sisters
I’ll be breaking in
Desert Sisters
To break you out
Knowledge sown in Gaia’s bones
Knowledge sown in Gaia’s bones
Granite canyon webs of stone
Her uncorrupted soul
Will not be possessed or owned
Gone, when hope is almost gone
You know that’s the time we must stand
Strong, every girl in every band
Every cosmic cowboy in the land
To the Earth will you show mercy?

Bruno Mars – Versace On The Floor

[Verse 1]
Let’s take our time tonight, girl
Above us all the stars are watchin’
There’s no place I’d rather be in this world
Your eyes are where I’m lost in
Underneath the chandelier
We’re dancin’ all alone
There’s no reason to hide
What we’re feelin’ inside
Right now
[Pre-Chorus]
So baby let’s just turn down the lights
And close the door
Oooh I love that dress
But you won’t need it anymore
No you won’t need it no more
Let’s just kiss ’til we’re naked, baby
[Chorus]
Versace on the floor
Oooh take it off for me, for me, for me, for me now, girl
Versace on the floor
Oooh take it off for me, for me, for me, for me now, girl
[Verse 2]
I unzip the back to watch it fall
While I kiss your neck and shoulders
No don’t be afraid to show it off
I’ll be right here ready to hold you
Girl you know you’re perfect from
Your head down to your heels
Don’t be confused by my smile
‘Cause I ain’t ever been more for real, for real
[Pre-Chorus]
So just turn down the lights
And close the door
Oooh I love that dress
But you won’t need it anymore
No you won’t need it no more
Let’s just kiss ’til we’re naked, baby
[Chorus]
Versace on the floor
Oooh take it off for me, for me, for me, for me now, girl
Versace on the floor
Oooh take it off for me, for me, for me, for me now, girl
Dance
[Bridge]
It’s warmin’ up
Can you feel it? It’s warmin’ up
Can you feel it, baby? It’s warmin’ up
Can you feel it? It’s warmin’ up
Oh, seems like you’re ready for more, more, more
Let’s just kiss ’til we’re naked
[Chorus]
Versace on the floor
Hey baby
Take it off for me, for me, for me, for me now, girl

Animal Names – Stigmata For Sale Lyrics

This old beach half gave way, a sign said that. ANIMAL NAMESStigmata For Sale Lyrics
The waves all passed me by then sucked me back,
I scrapped my arm or a ghost just scratched a hack. “In 1998 it traded its sand for an Anti-Flag tape.”
Our old house half burned down and it’s mostly black,
There are lawn chair shards out back but I think it spared that peace sign. Stay sickly, I quickly asked about your hands,
I saw right through your palms then filled the holes with mud. I told you, I told you once about how hard
It was to dig that pond and fill it full of frogs. Like the 18 broken arms you cured in ’82. Stay sickly, pass me by, we’ll both survive.

Bread & Water – Fear Of God Lyrics

BREAD & WATERFear Of God Lyrics
Swear allegiance to your faith
Swear allegiance to the state
Be a good god-fearing Christian
Follow your faith instead of your wisdom
Cross your heart and hope to die
God forbids those who question why
Forgive me father for I have sinned
I find no freedom in religion (and government)
For heaven’s sake, don’t use your head
You might find out you’ve been misled
Cross in one hand, flag in the other
One more lamb to be led to the slaughter

Deville – Honest Lyrics

Now I know my weakness is you. DEVILLEHonest Lyrics
I’m on my own i’ve been set free now here I go
And when we get through this you’ll respect me and won’t look back at all. It’s unforgivable, solid ground we stand on. When I’m feeling this way I try to ask myself:
“Am I in control or have my plans fallen through?”
It’s times like these when I feel like i’m breaking down,
My energy’s gone and there’s nothing left for you. That’s when I wake up from this reocurring dream. I know you can’t always see the whole truth in everything. When someone you know and trust betrays you. Countless days spent getting over this condition. When I’m feeling this way I try to ask myself:
“Am I in control or have my plans fallen through?”
It’s times like these when I feel like i’m breaking down,
My energy’s gone and there’s nothing left for you. In turn instills in you unwanted inhibitions.

“I guess [languages] come easy because I want to learn,” she said.”Every lesson I am just trying my best to improve. We are all amazing speakers and we are going to get up there and do as best as we can and the nerves don’t matter.”Winning in ‘tracky pants and polo shirts’Up to 40 per cent of the students attending Greenwood College have a language background other than English.Ela Amor-Robertson, the teacher in charge of the college’s English as a second language or dialect program, said she was “gobsmacked” by the team’s success. Asmaa Hameed is usually the team’s second speaker. I guess that has helped me to achieve where I am right now.”Asmaa is one of five members of Greenwood College’s Year 8 team, and one of three to come from a home where English is not the first language.Team-mate Cyrine Almodovar, who comes from the Philippines, is their lead speaker.”I am good at wording and I am a very emotive person when it comes to debating,” she said.Cyrine said she believed the team’s diversity has been its greatest strength when it comes to competing against some of Perth’s most elite schools.”There is a lot that we bring to the table in term of how we view the world and different views,” Cyrine said.”They have more resources, they are richer, they look fancier. but that doesn’t mean we can’t be great.”None of the five students can remember who first suggested the team’s motto “nervous but empowered”, but it has stuck. “Every debate we are a bundle of nerves,” Jacque Walters said.”It’s logic really. (ABC News: Elicia Kennedy)
“We thought this is going to be a great way to build confidence in this group of students,” Ms Amor-Robertson said.”Their development and understanding of world issues and of language has been phenomenal.”But there is no denying the team stands out at the competition.”They stand out because they are one of the few public schools that has been really successful in this competition, especially being a non-academic select school,” Ms Amor-Robertson said.”They are getting up there debating wearing tracky pants and polo shirts, rather than the suits and ties of the more elite private schools.” A multicultural group of students is surpassing expectations after making the semi-finals of Western Australia’s schools debating competition.A number of the students joined the team to improve their English skills, never expecting such success. One of them, Asmaa Hameed, understood only a few words of English when her family moved from Iraq to Perth. Two years later, she has transformed her basic vocabulary into a set of language skills that has her winning debates.Asmaa, 13, said she joined the Greenwood College debating team to improve her English. We look very humble …

Nearly 1 in 4 teens meet criteria for 'probable serious mental illness'
OECD report highlights pressures on teenagers worldwide

The girl said she had been dealing with depression for years and felt so worthless she could not brush her hair.
A hairdresser has helped a teen battling depression who felt “so worthless she couldn’t even brush her hair”.The 16-year-old from Waterloo in Iowa, US approached Kayley Olsson to cut all her hair off because the teen couldn’t “deal with the pain of combing it out”, according to the stylist’s Facebook post.”I had a 16-year [old] girl come in who has been dealing with severe depression for a few years now,” Ms Olsson’s Facebook post read.”She got to the point where she felt so down and so worthless she couldn’t even brush her hair.”The teenager starts back at school in a couple of weeks and was attempting to fix her hair for school photos.Ms Olsson said the story broke her heart and she refused to cut the girl’s hair off, instead spending 13 hours over two days with another hairdresser detangling and styling the girl’s hair.”I will actually smile for my school pictures today, you made me feel like me again,” the girl told Ms Olsson. The process was captured and posted on Facebook, but Ms Olsson was careful not to reveal the teenager’s identity. The hairdresser hoped the story would urge parents to take their children’s mental health seriously.”Don’t just push your kids off and tell them to get over something they legitimately can’t,” she said. The post sparked a flood of comments from people who have also experienced the debilitating effects of mental illness.”I can honestly relate to this. It took 13 hours to detangle the girl’s hair for her school photos. I get into such deep ruts, I stop washing my hair and when I take showers I just ignore it because I don’t have the mentality or strength to wash it,” Makayla Butler wrote.”This touched me so much as my daughter has depression with anxiety and doesn’t take care of herself like she should. If only she could see her worth through the eyes of those who love her most,” Jody Holland wrote.

“There were 12 of us in my course so we were all really close. There’s no cure for the disease which requires dozens of daily medications and physiotherapy. Key facts about cystic fibrosis (CF)CF is an inherited genetic condition It affects the lungs and digestive systemThere is no cureAll babies are screened for CF at birthMore than 3,000 Australians have the diseaseLife expectancy has increased to 38
“It was really, really hard going back to school, especially because I got back and there were so many assignments due and homework,” she said.”It’s hard sometimes, but I get up about 5:30 every morning and my school starts at 8:30 so I do physio just before I go to school and everything seems to fit in really well.” “The breathing really helps my lungs with my disease so I really wanted to do it [singing], it was an extra that helped as well.”It has also helped her meet one of the world’s most famous pop stars, Taylor Swift, when in 2015 Cystic Fibrosis Queensland launched a social media campaign for the two to meet. After starting acting just two years ago, she said the month-long stint at one of the world’s most prestigious arts academies was “life changing”.”So many people I met, so many experiences, getting to see New York and everything I saw in the school was so amazing as well,” she said. “In the morning and afternoon I do about an hour-and-a-half of physiotherapy, which is breathing exercises,” she said.”Every meal I have during the day I have to take enzymes which is like pills or medication that help me digest the food that I eat.”Ella said she loved singing, and as a bonus it aided her management of CF.
