Dancehall Artist Unicorn Shot and Killed In Kingston

Macka Diamond, who is a longtime friend of Unicorn, confirmed his death on Instagram yesterday. “Sleep in peace [Unicorn] can’t believe it a swear #mood,” she wrote. Police officers responded to a call that reported someone was shot and found his lifeless body laying on the road in a pool of blood. Details about the killing are still sketchy, but police sources confirmed with Dancehall HipHop that the 43-year-old deejay, real name Donovan McMurray, was shot and killed by a few armed men on Bowens Road in Kingston 13, Sunday afternoon. Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide but so far no arrests have been made. Unicorn is famous for his song Macka Diamond, “Think Bout Mi” which was released in 2009.
